using technology

I've always beleived that technology is just another tool in our toolbox. Often librarians get hung up on the technology and lose sight of the ultimate goal, which is to better serve the customer and at the same time make life easier for the staff. The old cliche is good that leading edge is good, bleeding edge not so much.

communication

Seems like with such a large system we need to find newer, faster ways to communicate with everyone. Perhaps using blogs,YouTube videos, podcasts etc. might be the answer. Maybe a monthly update from the Director's office that could be viewed by all.
